These release notes describe enhancements to Unified Engineering on CONNECT and include product upgrades, resolved and known issues where applicable.

New features and enhancements
AppControl Restrictions
Due to security policies and Service Level Agreement requirements, the following Application Control restrictions are in place:

You can only run AVEVA-signed or Microsoft-signed executables, DLLs, and PowerShell scripts.

Unsigned or untrusted PowerShell scripts will run in Constrained Language Mode.

.vbs and .js scripts cannot be code-signed and are allowed only if explicitly permitted by policy (hash).
-
.cmd, and .bat scripts cannot be code-signed and are allowed, however objects that these scripts call that are subject to Application Controls will be restricted.
Version upgrade
Upgrade to the latest version of the AVEVA Cloud Storage Controller application for your on-premises setup at your earliest convenience.
This upgrade ensures that you receive the latest fixes, enhanced synchronization, and continued compatibility with the server-side installation.

Removal of Notepad++
Applications governed by the GNU General Public License (GPL) are not permitted within our solution due to legal and compliance requirements. Accordingly, Notepad++ has been removed as it falls under this licensing model.
The approved default text editor is now the standard Notepad application provided with Unified Engineering on CONNECT.

Case - N/A (Defect - 3598732) Missing Add-on: The issue where the Excel Simulation Add-on was missing in PRO II for Workspaces has been resolved.

Case - N/A (Defect - 3800280) Excel Export/Import: Excel Export/Import issue for Instrument loops within the P&ID application has been resolved.

Case - N/A (Defect - 3431927) Unable to fetch data: The issue where data could not be fetched when data sources were added via remote administrator using Project User authentication has been resolved.

Unable to open exported Engineering list datasheet. Work Around: Use the web browser within the workspace to log in to Office 365 . Open the spreadsheet in excel 365 version and save this copy to a location which has access to it. The file should then open without any issues in the workspace version of excel without having to repair and retaining the formatting. |

Diagrams.exe throws unhandled error and crashes the application. Error in text alignment and changing line type in Diagrams. Work Around: These formatting issues arise from using the right-mouse-click icon pallet to format an object or group of objects. Instead use the right-mouse-click text menu, or application menu, or shortcut keys. |

A windows warning indicating that the NVIDIA Control Panel is not found is displayed to some of the users. This does not impact system performance, as modifying these settings does not provide significant graphical improvements. You can dismiss the notification and continue using your system as usual. This will be fixed in the future release. |

PRO II Excel Simulation add-on is not installed in workspaces due to dependency with MS excel installation before PRO II. |
