This section contains information that will help you maintain your AVEVA Unified Engineering - Legacy Version Streamed Desktop.

Start and Exit Sessions

When you start AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Legacy Version streamed desktop, a virtual desktop is delivered to your browser from a fleet (or pool) of instances residing in a standby state ready to be launched on demand.

Subject to available capacity, your connection experience will be consistent within 2 minutes 30 seconds.

When connected, the virtual desktop is prepared, user account is authenticated/authorised and storage persistence related processes are applied. This is termed a session.

If you accidentally close the browser or tab in which your session is running, the session will continue to run for 15 minutes before being terminated which provides the time to reconnect.

At the end of your session, you must save your work, close all applications, and end your session to conserve system resources and ensure the application starts smoothly next time.

To end your session, click the Profile icon in the session toolbar menu and select End Session.
