Manage applications

Use Application Manager to manage your InTouch applications. Create new applications or open existing applications in WindowMaker, WindowViewer, or the System Platform IDE. Start Application Manager to see a list of existing InTouch applications. Select an application from the list and use Application Manager commands or utilities to make your changes.

Application Manager features include the following:

• Create and delete: Create and delete stand-alone applications with Application Manager.

• Add applications: Use Application Manager to find and add applications to your local computer.

• Run InTouch components: You can start WindowMaker and WindowViewer from the Application Manager.

• Properties: Delete, rename, or change the properties of stand-alone applications. Delete or rename managed applications only from the System Platform IDE.

• Run: Start WindowViewer from Application Manager to run managed, or stand-alone applications.

• Global properties: Configure general InTouch properties that apply to all applications.

• Backup and restore: You can use Application Manager to backup and restore applications.

• Export and import tags: Export the contents of an application’s Tagname Dictionary. Import tag definitions to an application’s Tagname Dictionary. Start the DBDump and DBLoad utilities for exports and imports from Application Manager.

• Web client: Enable the InTouch Web Client to view InTouch applications on any HTML5 supported web browser.

• Export to AVEVA Insight: Export the application to AVEVA Insight, a cloud-based solution to manage your operations and assets .

• Distribute applications: You can distribute InTouch applications over a network.
