Add application graphics

Drag and drop graphics from the Industrial Graphics tab to add symbols to a window. Symbols are grouped into folders.

This procedure explains how to add the following symbols to the window you created earlier.

To add graphics to an application

1. Open the Mixers window you created in WindowMaker if not already open.

2. Expand the Situational Awareness Library folder in the Industrial Graphic tab to show the list of folders.

3. Open the Equipment folder and select the SA_Valve_2Way symbol.

4. Keeping your left mouse key pressed, drag the symbol to the open window and release the key at the approximate location where you want to place the symbol.

5. Select the graphic symbol and place it where you want it to appear in the window.

   Repeat steps 3-5 and add the remaining Industrial Graphics and Situational Awareness Library symbols listed above.

   The list of graphics above includes the folders in the Industrial Graphic tab where the symbols are located.

6. To add the alarm client, right click on Industrial Graphic Library in the Industrial Graphics pane. Click New graphic on the context menu. A new graphic with the default name Symbol_001 appears in the graphics list.

   1. Double click Symbol_001. The Industrial Graphic Editor opens in the WindowMaker window with a blank canvas.

   2. In the Tools box, select the Alarm Client icon and place it on the canvas.

      

   3. Configure size and proportions of the client to fit the application. Click Save and close to exit the Graphic Editor.

   4. In WindowMaker, right click and select Embed Industrial Graphic from the context menu. Select Symbol_001 or whatever name you have renamed the symbol.

   5. Place the alarm client near the top of the window.

7. Arrange the graphic elements on your window to look like the following example of a liquid fertilizer mixing station.
