To view the Project Settings tab, you require Administrator permissions.

The Project Settings tab enables you to view scan and dataset information at an account level. It displays the total project storage, the total number of scans in each dataset in a project, total number of datasets in the project and any integration between AVEVA Asset Information Management (AIM) and AVEVA Point Cloud Manager-Viewer using CONNECT.

Archive a project

This a new class of storage that enables you to store any unused project data in a low-cost storage environment. You can choose to transfer files from the project storage to the archive storage up to 4 times in a 12 month period.

You must have the Project Admin role assigned to your user account to archive or restore projects. Also note that archiving a project does not preserve snapshots.

To archive a project:

  1. On the Administration page, go to the Project Settings tab and select Archive.

The project is moved to the Archive storage and is made inaccessible. However, all project data is backed up, and you can restor it at a later stage.

  2. To transfer a project back from the Archive storage class to Project storage, select Restore.

Any permissions that you set on the project will remain as is without the need to reconfigure the access rights.

Manage AIM integrations

After you have instantiated a project on the CONNECT page, you will then be able to select the instance from the Project Administration page.

To do this:

  1. On the Project Administration page, go to the Project settings tab and from the Select Instance drop-down, select the project you want to integrate. This enables the Integrate button.

Selected instance on the project settings page enables the Integrate button

  2. Select Integrate and on the AIM Integration dialog, enter the following details:

    • Context (Optional) - For projects that have a sub-context in AIM, specify the same value. If data is at the root context level, you can leave this field blank

Example: (GCS|IED|TAG|V-5481 - GCS –root context, IED- sub-context)

    • Domain - This value is provided after you have enabled the integration

      Example (https://ingestionapi-aimademo.salesdemo-pv.connect.aveva.com)

    • Injestion API - This is the URL you use to access the AIM dashboard

      Example (https://gcsaima.dashboard.salesdemo-pv.connect.aveva.com/#/)

  3. Select Confirm to complete the integration. On successful integration, a healthy status is displayed as shown in the following image.

It takes a couple of hours for the integration to complete, after which you can view your associations in the AIM interface.

To delete an integration instance, select Delete and then select Confirm. This deletes the instance and disables the Integrate button.

The Integrate button is also disabled if you disable or delete the integration within the Manage integrations section of a folder within CONNECT.

You can also refer to the CONNECT documentation for information about integrating solutions.

If you have any markups, objects or datasets created in the Viewer interface that you wish to integrate into the AIM interface, select Update. If the associations are updated successfully, a message is displayed that implies that the integration process has begun.
