We are pleased to announce our new release of Point Cloud Manager on CONNECT.
The following updates were made as part of the Point Cloud Manager on CONNECT v25.6.0 release.
New features and enhancements
-
Admin panel update
For customers who are on the 2025 Point Cloud Manager service there, is a new landing page for the Point Cloud Manager service. When selecting to open a project in the admin panel, this directly opens the admin page and locates the project. This update means a URL can be used to direct to specific projects.
-
Panoramic and BubbleView support
Panoramic images can now be imported alongside terrestrial source scans. This should be in the "scanname _pano.jpg" naming convention. When imported, the panoramic images will be included in the scan resources and used in generation of the dataset.
When generated, the user will be able to switch between panoramic and BubbleView images. This can be used for low resolution scans.

-
AIM integration settings
When an integration service has been enabled, it can now be managed within the admin page for Point Cloud Manager. This enables administrators access to turn on and off integrations and update when necessary.
-
Removal of HyperBubble resources
When generating a dataset through the CONNECT admin page, HyperBubble resources are no longer generated.
-
Reorder dataset list
From the admin panel, users can now reorganize the datasets in any order required. The order of this list will be respected when accessed through Viewer and the Desktop application.
Resolved issues
-
Improved super high E57 conversion
High resolution scans would fail to convert when using the Point Cloud Manager on CONNECT generation process.
-
Classification process failing
Classifying a project through the admin panel would not complete in some instances. These have been resolved for unstructured data.
-
BubbleView scanner markers
An issue with the visibility of scanner markers has been resolved. Scan markers will now scale with distance the viewer is from the scan markers.
-
User usage report not populating
CONNECT can log users’ activities within Point Cloud Manager Viewer. This had been not working as expected in current versions.
Known issues
-
Large unstructured E57 files failing
There have been reports of Point Cloud Manager having issues with large E57 files of unstructured data.
