Active Alerts pane

The Active Alerts grid contains the following information:

  • Name: The name of the attribute for which the alert is generated.

  • Resolution State: Status of the alert

  • Current Status: Denotes the current status of the rule condition. A green status indicates that the parameter value has previously crossed the threshold but has now returned below the defined threshold.

  • Machine: Hostname or IP of the machine

  • Alert ID: Unique ID of the alert.

  • Rule ID: Identifier of the rule that triggered the alert.

  • Occurrence Count: Tracks the number of times the condition value fluctuates between being above and below the threshold. Each change is considered a state change, and the occurrence count increments accordingly. The maximum value for this count is capped at 100.

  • Age: Displays the time elapsed between the current time and the initial time the alert was reported.

  • Value: Indicates the unhealthy parameter value that triggered the alert.

  • Threshold: Defined limit that triggered the alert when crossed.

  • Created Date: Specifies the exact time the alert was initially created.

The Active Alerts grid contains the following buttons:

  • Acknowledge icon Acknowledged: The System monitor admin acknowledges that a certain rule is broken and generates an alert from the agent node.

  • Waiting On Icon Waiting On: The alert is pending action from the relevant operator.

  • Accepted icon Accepted: The alert is reviewed by the operator and is actively addressing it.

  • Resolved icon Resolved: The issue that triggered the alert has been addressed and resolved. Consequently, the alert is no longer active and is removed from the active alerts page.

  • Filter icon Search Filter: Allows the filtering of alerts based on errors (all alerts fall under errors) or warnings (a2lig warnings).
