Port list

The following ports are used for supporting communications between the System Monitor Manager services and the System Monitor Agent service running on the monitored computers.

• 80 [inbound] – HTTP support for connections initiated by Agent nodes to the Manager

• 443 [inbound] – HTTPS support (HTTP or HTTPS can be specified during installation). Allows manager to listen to the remote agent nodes

• 80 [outbound] – HTTP support for connections initiated by the Agent to the Manager

• 443 [outbound] – HTTPS support (HTTP or HTTPS can be specified during installation). Allows agents to communicate with a remote Manager node.

The following ports are used to support SMTP email notifications:

• 25 – SMTP Email Notification (for non-secure SMTP)

• 465 – SMTP Email Notification (for secure SMTP)
