In order to start publishing to CONNECT data services, or to edit an existing replication service configuration in Historian Agent, you need to sign into CONNECT from the Historian Agent Configurator.

To sign into CONNECT:

  1. Launch the Configurator.

  2. In the top right corner, select Sign in.
    Configurator sign-in button.

  3. In the CONNECT sign in window that appears, enter your CONNECT credentials and select Sign in.
    Connect sign-in window.

  4. The Sign in button in the Configurator changes to show your CONNECT account email address to reflect that you are signed in.

Note: The authorization token expires eight hours from when you signed in. When a token expires, you will automatically be signed out. This does not affect replication.

Sign out of CONNECT

When you aren't using the Configurator, you may want to sign out of CONNECT so that no one else can use it under your account.

  1. Select the down arrow to the right of your CONNECT account email address. The Sign Out button appears under the email address.

  2. Select Sign Out. The button changes to Sign in once you have been signed out of CONNECT.

  3. If Historian Agent is publishing to CONNECT data services, it will continue to do so even after you've signed out. Status shows that publishing is in progress, while Account shows you're not signed in.
