The PI Interface for Universal File and Stream Loading (UFL) reads data from ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) data sources and writes data to Data Archive. The interface parses and transforms the incoming data, and updates PI points.
The PI UFL interface can read text from:
-
ASCII files on Windows drives
-
Serial ports
-
Email servers through the Post Office Protocol 3 and Post Office Protocol Secure (POP3 and POP3S)
