Learn about how how data sources are handled

The logic for each type of incoming data that the PI UFL interface handles (ASCII files, Serial port, POP3/POP3S servers) is contained in a plug-in, installed as a .dll file. You need to specify the required .dll name within the [INTERFACE] section of the .ini file and parameterize it within the [PLUG-IN] section of the same .ini file. The following paragraphs briefly explain how the individual plug-ins deal with their corresponding data sources.
