To specify how the PI UFL interface processes incoming data, you create a configuration .ini file.
The configuration file is composed of sections that define parameters related to the selected data source (plug-in) as well as it defines the logic telling the interface how the incoming data is divided into message types, split into fields, and ultimately written to PI points.
