Installation Instructions

The following prerequisites are installed by the setup program before AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 gets installed:

• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8

• Enable IIS Feature

• Microsoft .Net 6.0.7 - Windows Server Hosting

• VS C++ Redistributable2022

• Operations Control Logger

• Platform Common Services 7.1.0

• Common Licensing API Framework

Note:
- AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 requires a product License version 23.0 or higher.

- If you are planning to install any application on the same machine that installs an earlier version of the above mentioned prerequisites (for example, PCS 7.0), then make sure to install that application before installing AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1.

- AVEVA Work Tasks needs .NET Core 6.0.7 or a newer version to be installed on the machine. Although the Work Tasks installer tries to install it as a prerequisite, if the .NET Core installation encounters any issues, the installation process will continue. However, it will be incumbent upon the customer to manually install .NET Core in such instances.

- While .Net 6.0.7 is being installed, if an installer screen with Repair, Uninstall, or Close option appears, select Repair option to proceed installation. This will restart the machine after repair and then the installation setup resumes.

- During AVEVA Work Tasks installation, if installation of VS C++ Redistributable2022, Operations Control Logger, Platform Common Service, and Common Licensing API Framework prompt to restart the machine, you can ignore and do a restart after completing installation.

Extract the ISO file of AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 to get the executable files. Run the following executable files to install and use AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1.

1. To install AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1

   Run AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1.exe located in AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 folder.

2. To install AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 Connector for System Platform

   Run AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 Connector for System Platform.exe located in AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 - Connectors folder.

   For detailed installation instructions, refer to Installing AVEVA Work Tasks Connectors for System Platform in the WorkTasksConnectorsExtensionsGuide located at AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 - Documentation folder.

3. To install AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 Extension for System Platform

   Run AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 Extension for System Platform.exe located in AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1\Server Extensions folder.

4. To install AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 Extension for OPC UA

   Run AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 Extension for OPC UA.exe located in AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1\Server Extensions.

5. To install AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 Add-in for Microsoft Office Outlook

   Run AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 Outlook Add-in.exe located in AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1\ Addins folder.

   Note: AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 Add-in for Microsoft Office Outlook is supported for Microsoft Office 2016, 2019, and Office 365. Based on the installed version of Microsoft Office, the respective Add-in components will be installed on the system.
