Define Central Configuration

Run Farm Configuration Wizard.
The Welcome to the AVEVA Work Tasks Farm Configuration Wizard window appears.

Click Next.

The Edit Farm settings window appears.

Select Service Settings.

Click Next.
The Services/Global Settings window appears.

Click
against Central Configuration to edit AVEVA Work Tasks Central Configuration settings.
The Central Configuration Settings page appears.

http/https: This option enables you to determine if you want a secured (https) or a non-secured site (http).

Authentication Type: This option allows you to provide the authentication type to access the Central Configuration. The available authentication types are Windows, AVEVA Connect, and Azure Active Directory.
Note: The AVEVA Connect and Azure Active Directory authentication types are available only if these user providers are configured in the system.
To configure AVEVA Connect user provider, see AVEVA Connect Settings.
To configure Azure Active Directory user provider see Azure Active Directory Settings. -
Create at: This field allows you to provide the Internet Information Service (IIS) path where the new site is created.

Port Number: This field is used to provide a port number for the Central Configuration.

Click
against Create at to change the path of the Central Configuration.
A message indicating that if the path has been changed the Central Configuration will no longer be accessible appears.

Click Yes.
The IIS structure screen is displayed. Select the desired IIS path for the Central Configuration.

Click OK.
The selected URL appears in the Central Configuration Settings screen.

Click OK.
Note:
- The default IIS path for Central Configuration is displayed. Click the edit icon
to change the site path.
- If you want to update the authentication type to AVEVA Connect or Azure Active Directory
of the already configured Central Configuration, you need to reconfigure the AVEVA
Connect and Azure Active Directory user providers for the Central Configuration. For
information on configuring user providers, see AVEVA Connect Settings and Azure Active Directory Settings.
- Central Configuration cannot be accessed in Chrome browser when configured with
unsecured access (http://) for Azure Active Directory and AVEVA Connect authentication
types.
