AVEVA Connect Settings

AVEVA Connect can be used as a user provider for creating a repository in AVEVA Work Tasks and can also be used to access AVEVA Work Tasks Pro app through AVEVA Connect.
In AVEVA Work Tasks, you can configure AVEVA Connect using the Farm Configuration Wizard. With this setting, the user is authenticated against AVEVA Connect provider and can access the AVEVA Work Tasks features.
To configure AVEVA Connect Settings

On the Windows Start menu, point to Programs, point to AVEVA, point to Work Tasks, and then click Farm Configuration Wizard.
The AVEVA Work Tasks Farm Configuration Wizard appears.

Click Next.
The Edit AVEVA Work Tasks Farm Settings window appears.

Select Service settings.
The Enterprise Server settings can be selected if the Farm Server Installation is using Enterprise Server Installation.

Click Next.
The Services/Global Settings window appears.

Click
against Global Settings.

In the Global Settings window, select OpenID Settings tab.

In the Authentication Provider drop-down list, select AVEVA Connect.

In the Account ID box, enter the account ID that you will use to access AVEVA Connect.

For Client for User Authentication,

In the Client ID box, enter the client id for user authentication.

In the Client Secret box, enter the client secret key for user authentication .

For Client for Service Authentication,

In the Client ID box, enter the client id for service authentication.

In the Client Secret box, enter the client secret key for service authentication.

For Client for Work Tasks scope (ac_worktasks),

In the Client ID box, enter the client id for Work Tasks scope.

In the Client Secret box, enter the client secret key for Work Tasks scope.

For Client for Work Tasks Pro Mobile App,

In the Client ID box, enter the client id for Work Tasks Pro app.

In the Client Secret box, enter the client secret key for Work Tasks Pro app.

Click Save and then click OK.
You can now update or create the repositories and configure Central Configuration and Enterprise Console with AVEVA Connect user provider.

Note:
- The user or role search is always using the starting character that you enter and does not have any search option.
- Role condition set through Filter condition of To property in the Human Activity is not supported.
- System Platform IDE with the AVEVA Connect provider is not supported.
- To call an external Web API that uses an Access Token, that token will have ac_worktasks as a scope, and the audience will be https://worktasks.connect.aveva.com.
