Takeover session

You can take control of an active editing session for a model.

Note: Only users with Teamwork Publisher and Administrator roles can take over a session.

To takeover a session

1. From the navigation rail, select Project backups.

   The project backup page displays.

2. Locate the required project card and select View versions.

   Alternatively, open the project card menu and select View versions.

   The project versions page displays.

3. Locate the project version you want to takeover, open the version card menu, and select Takeover session.

   

   The Take editing control confirmation dialog displays.

   Note: This option is disabled if you initiated the current editing session or if Teamwork retrieval and extraction is still in progress.

4. Select Take control.

   Note: If the original user is actively editing, they are no longer able to make editor changes, discard changes, or publish. A message appears indicating that an Administrator has taken control.
