To edit and publish a model

  1. From the navigation rail, select Project backups.

    The project backup page displays.

  2. Locate the required project card and select View versions.

Alternatively, open the project card menu and select View versions.

    The project versions page displays.

  3. Locate the project version you want to edit, open the version card menu, and select Edit model and publish.

    Edit model and publish menu

The Select Teamwork model dialog displays.

  4. In the dialog, choose one of the following to map your assets:

    • New Plant(s) – Add your assets as part of new Plant(s) in AVEVA Teamwork.
Choose this if you are new to Teamwork. Your assets will be added as part of new Plant(s) in AVEVA Teamwork.

    • Use existing Plant(s) – Use your assets to add and/or modify existing Plant(s) in AVEVA Teamwork.
Choose this if you’ve previously published to Teamwork and want to extend or modify existing Plant(s).

Note: The first time you select Edit model and publish on a specific version, you are prompted to map your assets. This prompt also appears when switching to a different version even if you have previously published from that version.

  5. Select Continue to proceed.

    The editor opens.

A progress bar appears while Development Studio extracts assets from the System Platform cab file. Teamwork items are retrieved during this process.

Additional Notes

  • You can browse all Divisions and Plants on the Teamwork server.

  • Teamwork Publishers can modify any Teamwork Division or Plant and are equivalent of Teamwork Server Administrators.

  • The extraction and retrieval time of assets is dependent upon the size of the backup file and is similar to restoring them in System Platform.
