AF security for custom objects

By default, members of the Administrators group can create custom objects (Views, Template-specific TVFs, etc.) but other users cannot see them. To use these custom objects, users need Read and Read Data access rights to the corresponding AF elements that are stored in the AF Configuration database. Until the RTQP Engine supports setting the necessary security in PI AF via SQL statements, OSIsoft recommends changing the default for the Custom Objects element to grant Read and Read Data access rights to World as shown in the following image.
