PI SQL DAS (RTQP Engine) system requirements

Operating systems

PI SQL DAS (RTQP Engine) is supported on the following servers:

• Windows Server 2016

• Windows Server 2019

• Windows Server 2022

  Note: Windows 10 (x64) and Windows 11 (x64) might be used for testing.

For best performance, we recommend setting Windows Power Options to High Performance.

Server platforms

This release is supported on PI AF Server 2018 SP3 Patch 5 or later and PI AF Server 2023 or later.

Hardware requirements

Minimum hardware:

• PI AF Server number of CPUs (logical processors): 8

• PI AF Server memory (RAM): add 8 GB (dedicated to RTQP Engine)

• SQL memory (RAM): add 4 GB (on top of RAM requirements sized for all other components)

Recommended hardware:

• PI AF Server number of CPUs (logical processors): 16

• PI AF Server main memory: add 16 GB (dedicated to RTQP Engine)

• SQL memory (RAM): add 4 GB (on top of RAM requirements sized for all other components)

  Note: Adding additional memory to SQL Server may increase query performance.
