Introduction to PI SQL Data Access Server (RTQP Engine)

PI SQL Data Access Server (Real-Time Query Processing Engine) (PI SQL DAS (RTQP Engine)) is a PI AF server component and can only be installed on PI AF server. From the PI SQL family of drivers, PI SQL Data Access Server (RTQP Engine) works with PI SQL Client OLEDB, PI SQL Client ODBC, and PI SQL Client JDBC. While the PI SQL family of drivers implement a certain industry standard or API and expose PI System data to third-party clients or applications, PI SQL DAS (RTQP Engine) is responsible for executing the queries.

This version of PI SQL DAS (RTQP Engine) supports queries for PI AF server.

Connections are made by client software that make use of PI SQL Client family of drivers that includes PI SQL Client OLEDB, PI SQL Client ODBC, and PI SQL Client JDBC.
