Set up a filtered view

Use the Filters window or the time and period filter window to set up a filtered view. A filtered view is a customized view that you can save, use as a default view, and share with specific roles that have the required permissions. You can also bookmark a filtered view for later use.

To set up a filtered view

  1. On the Events pane, select the filter icon next to the Events header to open the Filters window.

The Filters window is shown on the right side of the browser.

  2. In the Filters window, expand the corresponding expansion panel for each filter, and then set your preferred filter criteria.

For the Reporting points filter, the selected reporting points are shown within the panel after you click outside the drop-down list.

  3. After selecting all the filters, select Apply. If you select Cancel on the Filters window, the application ignores the selections and closes the window.

If you select Apply and there are some unsaved changes to the record, a warning dialog box appears with these action buttons to select from:

    • Discard & Continue - Closes the Filters window. Ignores the changes but applies the selected filters.

    • Save & Continue - Closes the Filters window. Saves the changes, and applies the selected filters.

The Events pane then displays records based on the recently set filters added to the URL. You can now bookmark or share this URL with others who can access it.

If you use the time and period filters window to set up a filtered view, the same behavior applies when you select Apply, where the selected filter is appended to the URL.

Note: Filter windows retain the most recent filter selections, so when you reopen it, you should see the latest filters.
