Use the Web Client service manager to start or stop all the microservices required for using the Web Client application. You can also use it to verify the status of the microservices.

After the Web Client installation and configuration, you see the Web Client service manager icon in the Windows system tray and the Web Client service manager window opens.

Prerequisites

  • Complete the Web Client configuration.

  • Ensure that the AVEVA Production Management service manager is running if you haven't done it before installation. This enables the Web Client service manager to identify which project databases it should connect to.

To start or stop the microservices

Important: When you make configuration changes in Studio, you must stop and restart the Web Client service manager for the changes to take effect.

  • On the Web Client service manager window, choose from these option buttons, depending on the task you need to perform:

    • Start All - Starts all the microservices.

    • Stop All - Stops all the microservices.

If you don't see the Web Client service manager icon in the system tray, you can select its shortcut link from the Start menu, under the AVEVA folder.

    Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE)

This triggers the service manager icon to appear in the system tray and opens the Web Client service manager window.

You can also open the Web Client service manager from the system tray:

    • Double click the service manager icon to open, or

    • Right click the service manager icon and select Open.
