You can filter data in the Web Client by state or reporting points, by time, or by specific period. The period filter options depend on user permission and on the configured Studio periods—standard or custom. A period definition property called ShowInFilters controls the visibility of the periods in the Web Client. By default, this is set to true, which means you need to manage the period filter options accordingly. For more information on period definitions, see About period definitions in Studio Help.
The Web Client has a Filters window where you can filter by state or reporting points. It also has a Time and period filters window, where it provides the following predefined time blocks and periods based on Studio configuration:
-
Last 1 week (Last 1W)
-
Last 3 days (Last 3D)
-
Last 1 day (Last 1D)
-
Last 8 hours (Last 8H)
-
Last 4 hours (Last 4H)
Filtering data for a non-continuous period is not supported in the Web Client. This means that if you want to filter data for just a specific time range within a period, the results will include all data within that period.
For example, if you have a Studio period configuration where you define a day shift of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (a daily repeating period of 12 hours), this leaves a gap of 12 hours between periods. So if you look at the multiple periods view, it will also include the data between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.. For more details on how period filters work, see Time and period filters.
