View Water Systems dashboard

To view Water Systems dashboard, do the following:

  • From the Navigation menu or Navigation tab, select Corporate>Regions>Water Systems.

    The selected Water Systems dashboard opens. By default, the Water Systems dashboard displays the Drinking Water screen.

UOC for Water structures information into the following Organizational Units:

Organizational Unit

Water District

Map-based

Defines the local corporate entity's municipal water system management areas.

Water Service

Map-based

Water Districts are organized by Water Service. Water Services are composed of multiple asset-based water systems that exist at a number of geographic locations.

Water Service types include the following:

  • Drinking Water

  • Waste Water

  • Watershed

  • Stormwater

Drinking Water

Asset-based Process Overview

Drinking water comes from surface and ground sources and is treated to levels that meet state and federal standards for consumption.

The Drinking Water service includes the following water systems:

  • Treatment (Disinfection, Reverse Osmosis, Ultra-violet [UV])

  • Distribution (Pump Stations, Reservoirs, Pressure Reduction Valve [PRV] stations, and Leak Detection Zones)

Waste Water

Asset-based Process Overview

Waste water is water affected by domestic, industrial and commercial use that does not meet state or federal standards for consumption without treatment.

The Waste Water service includes the following water systems:

  • Collections

  • Treatment

  • Distribution

Watershed

Asset-based Process Overview

Watershed comprised landscape features, specifically catchments or drainage basins that collect source water, require treatment before being used for consumption.

The Watershed service includes the following water systems:

  • Source (Rivers, Lakes, Reservoirs, Wells, Turnouts, and Pump Stations)

Stormwater

Asset-based Process Overview

Stormwater (runoff) is unabsorbed water from precipitation and ice or snow melt that is collected and directed to containment areas to protect infrastructure and potable water sources.

The Stormwater service includes the following water systems:

  • Pump Stations

Note: UOC for Water can be customized to reflect an organization's unique requirements.
