A Galaxy is a repository for imported graphics, objects and style libraries. You first need to create a new Galaxy to store the imported graphics, objects and style libraries. You must connect to a new or existing Galaxy each time you start the System Platform IDE.
To create a new Galaxy:
-
Go to Start>AVEVA System Platform>System Platform IDE.
The System Platform Integrated Development environment is displayed.
-
Select Home>New>Blank Galaxy.
The Create Galaxy dialog appears. You can create a galaxy with any specific name.
-
Create "UOC_Water" Blank Galaxy with base Template as "Default_EMPTY.cab".
Hover over the Blank Galaxy to display the correct galaxy to use.
-
Select Create to connect to the new galaxy.
-
Select Galaxy>Configure>Security.
-
In the Authentication mode tab, under select mode, select OS Group based authentication mode.
-
In the Roles tab, provide access to .\aaAdministrators.
-
Select all the check boxes under General permissions and Operational permissions for .\aaAdministrators.
-
Select OK.
-
Login to the galaxy using OS/Domain user added.
