Water Loss integration

Data Integration

You can retrieve and visualize data calculated by Water Loss. The following diagram represents data integration between UOC and Water Loss (WL):

The data integration between UOC and Water Loss is done through the REST API endpoints available in Water Loss.

The following are the deliverables related to data integration:

  • AVEVAWL.WaterLoss library to easily integrate the REST API methods in the scripting of the objects.

  • The AVEVA Water Loss Model Creation Utility to create the hierarchical model in System Platform based on the Water Loss model. It reads Water Loss Hierarchy Family information from Water Loss API’s and create the same hierarchy family model in the System Platform using GRAccess toolkit.

  • Templates in System Platform for each type of element available in the Water Loss Model ($UOCWL_Group, $UOCWL_Company, $UOCWL_East_West, $UOCWL_OperationalArea, $UOCWL_Network_Manager_Area, $UOCWL_DZ and $UOCWL_DMA). All templates reading attributes information. As an example, the $UOCWL_Group and $UOCWL_DZ templates implementing additional integrations.

    • $UOCWL_Group:

      • Read Water Balance KPIs (WaterLosses, AparentLosses, RealLosses, WaterLossPerMainLength, WaterLossPerConnection, WaterLossPercentageDI, RealLossPerMainLength, RealLossPerConnection, RealLossPercentageDI, ApparentLossPerMainLength, ApparentLossPerConnection, ApparentLossPercentageDI)

      • Read Maintenance Activity data.

      • Read Alarms

      • Acknowledge alarms with comments.

    • $UOCWL_DZ:

      • Read Water Balance KPI’s (WaterLosses, AparentLosses, RealLosses, WaterLossPerMainLength, WaterLossPerConnection, WaterLossPercentageDI, RealLossPerMainLength, RealLossPerConnection, RealLossPercentageDI, ApparentLossPerMainLength, ApparentLossPerConnection, ApparentLossPercentageDI)

      • Read Alarms

  • The data from Water Loss system can be historized in AVEVA Historian and then displayed in OMI for the duration specified.

  • $UOCWL_PushData template to publish water network measurement data from UOC in Water Loss.

    • Object template with the logic to publish data in historian for 50 data points every 60 minutes.

    • Multiple instances can be configured.

Visualization

  • Dashboards using UOC graphics capabilities to represent the data from Water Loss.

    • Overview dashboard for $UOCWL_Group template.

    • Overview dashboard for $UOCWL_DZ template.

    • Dashboards with alarms data grid and acknowledgement.

    • Dashboards for maintenance activities and other events.

  • Embed Water Loss web interface in OMI.

    • Single sign-on through AVEVA Identity Manager (AIM) with OMI Web.

    • Using URL parameters to access the relevant views and provides a seamless integration (light or dark theme, and hide top and navigation bar)
