Reconfigure Licensing after machine rename

Note: This applies when AVEVA License Manager, License Server, and Licensing Platform are installed on the same machine.

1. Rename the machine as required and restart it to apply the new name.

2. Open the Configurator tool.

3. In the left navigation pane, expand Common Platform and select System Management Server.

4. In the right pane, select This machine is the System Management Server, and then select Configure.

5. In the left navigation pane, expand AVEVA Enterprise Licensing, select License Server, enter the new machine name (renamed server name) as the Primary Server Name, and then select Configure.

6. Open AVEVA License Manager in a web browser and navigate to the License Server tile.

   A warning appears indicating a name change.

7. Select Deactivate Licenses to reset the License Server ID.

8. Reactivate the licenses using the new License Server ID.
