Filter By Severity

In order to filter by severity, check the box beside the ‘Filter by Severity’ option. This will enable the high and low severity boxes. This optional parameter will cause the interface to sign up to receive values from the OPC AE Server whose severity falls into the specified range. If multiple severity levels are necessary, the user must run multiple instances of the interface because the signup to filter by severity affects all tags configured for the interface instance.

High Severity Value

This optional parameter is the high severity value in the range the interface should use if signing up to the OPC AE Server to filter by severity. The allowable range for this field is 1 to 1000, inclusive and the value of the high severity field must be greater than the value in the low severity field. Severity limits are defined within each OPC AE Server. The command line parameter equivalent is (/highsev=#).

Low Severity Value

This optional parameter is the low severity value in the range the interface should use if signing up to the OPC AE Server to filter by severity. The allowable range for this field is 1 to 1000, inclusive and the value of the low severity field must be less than the value in the high severity field. Severity limits are defined within each OPC AE Server. The command line parameter equivalent is (/lowsev=#).
