Related tools for PI Interface for OPC DA

PI Interface for OPC DA does not have its own graphical user interface (GUI). The following tools perform multiple functions related to setting up, configuring, running, and troubleshooting the interface and the OPC server:

• PI OPC Tools Set

  Connects to OPC servers and displays the data in connected OPC servers, including groups and items.

• OPC to CSV tool

  Provides access to OPC item properties and enables you to apply OPC server-specific or site-specific knowledge to revise or create PI point attributes before PI points are created or edited. Exports OPC items to a comma-separated values file that can be loaded into the PI Builder add-in for Excel.

• OPC Enum tool

  Discovers OPC servers.

• Data Translation tools

  These programs, which are run from the command line, are used for translating time stamps from refresh logs for the OPC server.

• PI Interface Configuration Utility (PI ICU)

  PI ICU is used to create and configure instances of each interface. Once created, each instance is available from the drop-down menu in PI ICU.

PI Interface for OPC DA no longer includes PI OPC Tools in the self-extracting installation kit. PI OPC Tools can be downloaded from the AVEVA Customer Portal Products page. Search for PI Interface for OPC DA and select the download icon to locate the installation kit for PI OPC Tools Set (OPCTools) Install Kit.
