Install the software for the interface on the interface node.

Verify that the Installation prerequisites are met.

  1. On the interface node, run the PI Interface for OPC DA setup program.

  2. Test the connection to Data Archive from the interface node.

    • For PI API connections, open a command prompt, navigate to the %PIPC%\bin directory, and issue the apisnap PISERVERNODE command.

    • For AF SDK connections, from the Windows Start menu, select All Programs > PI System > About PI-SDK, and then select File > Connections to connect.
