Open PI OPC client tool

To connect to and view the contents of your OPC server, use PI OPC Client Tool. You can test data exchange procedures such as sync read, refresh, advise, and outputs using this tool.

PI Interface for OPC DA no longer includes PI OPC Tools in the self-extracting installation kit. PI OPC Tools can be downloaded from the AVEVA Customer Portal Products page AVEVA Customer Portal Products Page. Search for PI OPC Tools Set (OPCTools) Install Kit.

• Open PI OPC Client Tool in one of two ways:

  • Locate and double-click the OPCClient.exe executable file.

  • From the Windows Start menu, select All Programs > PI System > PI OPCClient.
