Conversion factor attribute (convers)

The convers attribute applies an offset or multiplier to a point value.

For scaled tags, the convers attribute contains the device span. For more information, see Transformations and scaling.

The OPC item can have deadband values that correspond to the zero and span attributes, which define the actual span of values that the OPC server sends. PI Interface for OPC DA can use these OPC deadband values to translate the units used by the device to the units defined for the PI point. For more information, see OPC deadband (location5).
