Range of steam functions

This section discusses the valid range in English units of the input variables for each of the steam functions. The PI steam functions should compute the same results as the equations given in the ASME Steam Tables, 6th Edition. Shorthand used in this section

For brevity, this topic uses a three-letter base code where the first letter is the property returned and the next letters are the independent variables:

• VPH = vapor specific Volume from Pressure and Henthalpy

• VPS = vapor specific Volume from Pressure and Sentropy

• HPS= Henthalpy from Pressure and Sentropy

• SPH = Sentropy from Pressure and Henthalpy

• TPH and TPS = Temperature from P and H or S

• XPH and XPS = vapor fraction (X) from P and H or S
