Calculates the liquid specific enthalpy as a function of pressure and temperature—all variables expressed in English units. Only use for compressed water. An error of -1 (or input out of range digital state) is returns for input temperature higher than the saturation temperature for the input pressure. However, the function computes for the full range of temperature for input pressure greater than the critical pressure.

Format

StmEng_HPTL(P, T)

Arguments

  • P

Pressure of the water in psia. The valid range is 0.08865 to 14503.77 psia for temperatures up to 1472 °F and 0.08865 to 7251.8869 psia for temperatures up to 3632 °F.

  • T

Water temperature in °F. The valid range is 32 to 1600 °F.

Returns

Computed liquid specific enthalpy in BTU/lbm or Error digital state.
