View data objects

Relational views of PI System data are organized into catalogs that contain collections of tables within schemas that describe each database.

Examples in PI OLEDB Enterprise are:

• Configuration

• NuGreen

• System

Examples in PI OLEDB Provider are:

• piarchive

• pibatch

• pilog

Examples in PI SQL Client are:

• Master

  Note: The Element and EventFrame schema in the Master catalog each contain a template folder with table templates and table-valued function templates. For more information, see Use table and table-valued function templates.

Each of these catalogs and schemas are shown as folders within Object Explorer. Expand folders to explore objects that represent primary key columns, columns, and data types.
