Add connection points

Use the Connection Point tool to place additional connection points at locations other than the bounding rectangle of a graphic element. You can also place custom connection points on an embedded graphic and connect to them.
Custom connection points are part of the parent graphic element and cannot be grouped. Also, custom connection points added to a graphic element that is part of a Symbol Wizard layer are shown when the graphic element is part of the Symbol Wizard’s current configuration.
Press the Esc key to cancel adding a connection point. Also, clicking the canvas takes you out of connection point addition mode.
To add connection points

Click the Connection Point icon from the Tools pane to draw a single connection point.
If you want to add multiple connection points, double click the Connection Point icon.

Click where you want to add the connecting point. This must be within the bounding rectangle of a hosting element of an embedded graphic.
The new connection point appears as a green rectangle at the location you selected.
To change the position of a connection point
You can change the position of a connection point that you added to a graphic element or a graphic.

Click the connection point that you want to move and drag it to its new location.
The X and Y properties show the coordinate position of the connection point.
You can also change the location of a connection point you added by changing the X and Y coordinate values assigned to the connection point’s X and Y properties.
