Function:
Creates a copy of a Database (DB), MDB, Team, User, Module or Stamp.
Description:
Any number of copies may be made. Copies of DBs have the same DB Number as the original. An MDB cannot contain more than one DB with the same DB Number.
To avoid the risk of DB corruption, DBs must always be copied using this command in AVEVA Administration and not by using operating system utilities or commands.
Note:
Extract DBs, and DBs which own extracts cannot be copied. This also applies when copying
from foreign Projects.
In a Global Project, the administrator can only copy Teams and DBs at the Hub.
If the PROTection parameter was set during the creation of a DB, then a COPY command will not be permitted.

COPY DB ADMIN/CA1A TO ADMIN/CA1C TO AREA 051 Copies the ADMIN/CA1A DB to AREA 051, renaming it ADMIN/CA1C. COPY TEAM TESTTEAM TO SUPPORT Team SUPPORT will be the same as Team TESTTEAM when queried. COPY TEAM TESTTEAM TO SUPPORT EXCL USERS Team SUPPORT will be the same as Team TESTTEAM when queried, but the Team’s Users will not be copied. |

CO MDB /ADMIN TO /ADMINCOPY The /ADMINCOPY MDB will contain the same structure as /ADMIN. CO USER ADMINA TO TESTA/GEN A new User TESTA, password GEN, will be created, belonging to the same Teams, and having the same access rights as User ADMINA. |

COPY DB Z/Z FROM PROJ ABC US SYSTEM/XXXXXX TO A/A The Z/Z DB will be copied from Project ABC, so that it can be accessed by User SYSTEM, password XXXXXX, into the current Project. It will be given the name A/A. COPY DB Z/Z TO A/A TO AREA 99 TO FINO 50 The Z/Z DB will be copied to A/A, in AREA 99, with file number (FINO) 50. The environment variable pointing to AREA 99 will need to be set. |

COPY STAMP /stamp_005 TO /stamp_012 The Stamp stamp_012 will be a copy of the Stamp stamp_005. The list of DBs referenced will be identical. COPY STAMP /StampName FROM PROJECT ACP USER SYSTEM/XXXXXX TO /TargetStampName Here, /StampName is the foreign Stamp present in the ACP Project and /TargetStampName is the Stamp name in the current Project. COPY DB Z/Z FROM PROJ ABC123 USER FRED.BLOGGS1/B TO A/A Copies from a Project with a long Project identifier, accessed via User FRED.BLOGGS1, password B, into the current Project. |

COPY TEAM TESTTEAM TO SUPPORT EXCL USERS Team SUPPORT will be the same as Team TESTTEAM, but member DBs are omitted. |
