  • Last UpdatedFeb 22, 2022
  • 2 minute read

Function:

Adds descriptive information to Project definitions, sets Project sub type, i.e. Plant. Also used to set multi-byte characters sets for fonts such as Kanji. The administrator can, optionally, specify a second (bold) User-defined font file for multi-byte fonts.

In a Global Project, the Name, Description, Number and MBCHARSET can only be set at the Hub. The Message can be set at all Locations.

Description:

The descriptive information will be displayed each time the Project is entered. The attributes which can be set, with their maximum number of characters, are:

NAME

119 characters

DESCRIPTION

119 characters

MESSAGE

119 characters

NUMBER

16 characters

If the administrator requires information about multi-byte character sets, please contact the local AVEVA Solutions Limited Support Office, as listed on the copyright page of this manual.

In Marine Projects, the Project numbers should match the 8-character Project identifier as defined by %ABC000ID%.

Examples:

PROJ NAME ’STABILIZER’

PROJ DESCRIPTION ’CADC TRAINING PROJECT’

PROJ MBCHAR JAPANESE

PROJ MBCHAR 87  (where 87 is the ISO Standard Font number).

PROJ MBCHAR LATIN FILE /lat_std BOLD /lat_bld

PROJ CHARSET LATIN 2

The type parameter can be used to change the Project subtype from between Plant and Marine. Since the transition is one-way, another command must be invoked first in order to activate the Project type changing capability. An advisory message is displayed after the activation command.

PROJECT TYPE ALLOWCHANGE

(1,340) It is now possible to convert the current Project to Marine. Note: there is no way to reverse this action.
