COR functionality is powered using the common Version Control Configuration (VERCON) that is available in AVEVA Engineering. Refer to Engineer for further information. Configuration is required to enable COR functionality, which is done by creation of a VERCON element.

A VERCON must be created below a REVCGP Group element. To create a VERCON element. To create a VERCON element, on the Home tab, in the Create group, select Create from the displayed drop-down list select VERCON: Version Control Configuration. A VERCON element is created and displayed in the Dictionary Explorer.

When a new element is created in the dictionary hierarchy using the Dictionary Explorer and if the Current Element Editor window is open, it automatically updates to display the default attributes for that element.

Note: If the Current Element Editor window is not open, right-click in any Explorer window and select Current Element Editor.

After the creation of a new VERCON element, use the Current Element Editor window to populate the attributes in the Current Element Editor.

Dependent upon the attribute, other related attributes are enabled or disabled accordingly.
