Reference Element
Description
For site layout features such as fences and roadways it will often be sufficient to restrict modelling to lines and arcs laid out on a surface. The BOUNDARY element allows this method of modelling by positioning member POINTS, IPOINTS (invisible points) and TANPOINTS (tangent points) to describe the required outlines. The BOUNDARY can be thought of as a "high level" basic element (its identical low-level equivalent is the DRAWING, which can belong to EQUIPMENT, STRUCTURES and so on.). The BOUNDARY has the normal drawing LEVEL attribute of a primitive, but no OBSTRUCTION (as it is composed entirely of lines).
