Database Recovery

  • Last UpdatedJun 28, 2022

If for any reason a database at a location is corrupt, it can be recovered by transferring the database from a neighboring location. It is important to remember that this could result in loss of work. The main objective when a recovery is carried out is obviously to restore the database(s) and minimise the work loss.

Global does not verify that the file from which the database is being recovered is a valid database. It is the user's responsibility to make sure that this is the case. Remote DICE checking may be used to verify the state of the database at the remote location from which the database is to be recovered.
