WCF Port Usage

WCF as the security provider the user has full control over the ports used for network communication. Port usage is specified inside configuration files described in the the AVEVA Global WCF Configuration Guide.

The ports specified in the configuration files must be opened for bi-directional traffic on the Firewall.

Additionally firewall rules can be specified to limit access to ports used by a specific program. Global has a unique identifier (UUID) which can be used when defining a firewall rule. For further details contact AVEVA Support directly.
