AVEVA Unified Engineering Modules and Setup Window

In the Modules and Setup window, you can select the required module, the project to be opened and type your credentials.

Details
The properties and references of the selected project are displayed, project code, project name, project description, project release number, and project codes of referenced projects.
Modules
Defines the Module to open the selected project with. The following modules are available:

Model |
Designs the 3D multi-discipline model. |

Engineer |
Develops and maintains key engineering items. |
|
Draw |
Creates annotated engineering drawings from data in the 3D model. |

Isodraft |
Creates isometric drawings. |
|
Spool |
Subdivides pipework design into logical sections (spools) ready for fabrication. |

Engineer Config |
Designs the conceptual data model for the engineering project. |
|
Propcon |
Administrates the properties of components and materials. |
|
Paragon |
Administrates catalogue components in AVEVA Unified Engineering. |
|
Specon |
Administrates specifications. |
If you select a Module tile the Launch button becomes available.
If you select the Model tile in AVEVA Unified Engineering although your role as a user is a 1D / 2D Role, the following information window is displayed.

You do not have the permission to start the Model Module, so that the application will exit. To change the role contact the CONNECT account Owner or, for more information, see Setup Roles for AVEVA Unified Engineering for further information.
Setup
User Name
Type the name which has been allocated to you by the system administrator. The user name is case sensitive, be sure to type it correctly.
Password
Type the password which has been allocated to you by the system administrator. The password is case sensitive, be sure to type it correctly.
If you are a Windows authenticated user, a password is not required.The Password field is greyed out.
Change Password
The Change Password window is displayed.

Scope
Defines the database which is used to start the application.
Select a required database from the dropdown list. The Scope list content varies depending on the selected Project. For example, the ProjAPS project.

Stamp
Defines to use the current database or a database stored with a particular time stamp on the project.
If you select None, the current database is used.
If you select the required database milestone stamp from the list, the database which is stored with the particular time stamp is used.
Open Read Only
Defines whether to open the project in read-only mode or in editing mode.
If you select the Open Read Only check box, the project is entered in read-only modem you can view the project, but not make any modifications.
If you do not select the Open Read Only check box, the project is entered in edit mode, you can open and change the project.
Restore 3D Views
Note:
Restore 3D Views is only available with the Model and Spool modules.
Defines whether to restore 3D views from the previous session or not.
If you select the Restore 3D Views check box, the application restores the 3D view from the previous session when you enter the application. The elements available in the draw list populate the 3D view and the view is zoomed to the element extents. Clipping, capping and colour enhancements that were applied to the 3D view in the previous session are not restored.
If you do no select the Restore 3D Views check box, a new 3D view is displayed.
Restore Default Layout
Defines whether to restore the default layout or not.
If you select the Default Layout check box, the application restores the work area layout to the default settings when you enter the application. A message window is displayed, asking you to confirm the deletion of the existing design settings and design window settings files.

If you do not select the Default Layout check box, the application uses the settings defined in the previous session.
Allow Customizations
If you select the Allow Customizations check box, the application reads a customized environment set in the configuration database - if available. By default, the check box is selected which indicates that the environment defined in the evars files and the environment in the configuration database is added together.
If you do not select the Allow Customizations check box, the application reads the environment reduced to the core AVEVA supplied environment. For example, if additional environment or customizations in the configuration database are failing or need debugging.
