Welcome to the AVEVA Unified Engineering documentation!

This publication is primarily intended for administrators and users to use AVEVA Unified Engineering to run cloud projects or local projects within the required components (modules).

This publication assumes that you have access to CONNECT and AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum and the AVEVA Unified Engineering is uploaded to the cloud. Further, this publication assumes that administrators know their organization's requirements and are familiar with the concept of component subscriptions and component permissions. Users are expected to know how to use AVEVA’s cloud components that their organization has subscribed to.

AVEVA Unified Engineering is a hybrid cloud solution. On the one hand, it allows you to access the latest versions of AVEVA applications with significant reduction on administration and IT infrastructure requirements and everything hosted ‘on-premise'. On the other hand it empowers your teams to collaborate openly and continuously to build the foundation of your digital twin in the cloud.

AVEVA Unified Engineering enables a ‘data-centric’ approach. The teams work around a single data model allowing for continuous updating and coordination of the project data. AVEVA Unified Engineering offers a capability to work on the same data at the same time. You can use AVEVA Unified Engineering for complex engineering and design of capital projects, across disciplines, locations, and organizations securely in the Cloud.

We hope that you will find this publication useful and that it answers all your queries about getting started with AVEVA Unified Engineering.

If you have been directed to this publication from the AVEVA Administration release notes, please be aware that AVEVA Unified Engineering is used in all instructions and examples. The instructions and examples also apply to AVEVA Administration.
