AVEVA™ Unified Engineering

Installation Window of AVEVA Unified Engineering

  • Last UpdatedDec 03, 2025
  • 2 minute read

AVEVA Unified Engineering is supplied via the AVEVA Knowledge & Support Center site. AVEVA Unified Engineering is a bundle which unifies AVEVA E3D Design and AVEVA Engineering.

One of the major differences between the older Windows Installer (MSI) installer technology is that with MSIX there is no user interface during the installation, so there is no opportunity to ask the user to provide any information during the installation. For more information, see Install AVEVA Unified Engineering.

Note:
If the UnifiedEngineering.exe is used to install AVEVA Unified Engineering (recommended for installation with Windows® 11), checks are made for additional components. For more information, see Setup Software from AVEVA Unified Engineering Download Package.

If the AVEVA.UnifiedEngineering.msix file is used to install AVEVA Unified Engineering (recommended for installation with Windows® 11 and Windows® Server 2022 or Windows® Server 2025), checks are not made for additional components. Additional prerequisite components must be installed before running the command. For more information, see Administrator Installation Processes for AVEVA Unified Engineering.

Install

Starts the installation process. The progress bar indicates the progress of the installation.

When the progress bar shows 100% and the installation is complete, you can run the application for the first time. The first run process asks you for some configuration information. For more information, see AVEVA Unified Engineering Configuration Windows and Configure AVEVA Unified Engineering before Initial Start.

Launch when ready

Defines whether to start the application directly after installation or later.

If you select the Launch when ready check box, the product runs automatically for the first time.

If you do not select the check box, you can start the first run of the product later.
