Setup Roles for AVEVA Unified Engineering

Prerequisite Information

Unified Engineering Roles Service in CONNECT.

Note: The procedure assumes you are subscribed to the Unified Engineering Roles service. The service enables your company to define the roles for your users. If you are a customer of AVEVA Unified Engineering and you are unable to see the Unified Engineering Roles Service, please contact your Account Manager.

To setup roles for AVEVA Unified Engineering

1. In CONNECT, select User management to display the submenu.

   

2. Select Roles to display the Roles page.

   

3. Select Assign Role to display the Assign role side sheet.

   

4. Select the Unified Engineering Roles service using the Service drop-down list.

   Note: If you are unable to see the Unified Engineering Roles service enabled on your account, contact your Account Manager.

5. Select the Account Folder.

6. Select a Role, for example, 1D / 2D / 3D.

7. Select Groups or Users, for example, user.name.

8. Select Save.

   New roles are added to the list of Roles in the CONNECT Account.

   

   Note: If your account is subscribed to Unified Engineering Roles, you must assign users to one or both roles. Any users without role assignments will not be able to enter AVEVA Unified Engineering.
