AVEVA Unified Engineering Configuration Windows

Note:
AVEVA recommends to close all application sessions before you configure AVEVA Unified Engineering.
When you start AVEVA Unified Engineering for the first time, you are guided through the configuration windows. For more information, see Start AVEVA Unified Engineering.
AVEVA Unified Engineering - Initial Configuration
Note:
If you have already configured AVEVA Unified Engineering, you can open the Initial Configuration window from the AVEVA Unified Engineering Projects Window or AVEVA Unified Engineering Modules and Setup Window window to change the configuration.

Projects folder
Defines the folder to store the project data. You must have created the folder already in the system. The folder contains:

The projects for AVEVA Unified Engineering.

The custom_evars.bat file which defines the paths to all the AVEVA projects.

The path to define environmental variables %projects_dir% for each session.
The default path is C:\Users\Public\Documents\AVEVA\Projects\
User folder
Defines the user folder to store user default values. If the folder does not exist, the system automatically creates it. The folder contains:

The user settings for applications in AVEVA Unified Engineering.
The default path is C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Aveva\AVEVA Unified Engineering\UserData\
Defaults folder
Defines the defaults folder to store default values. If the folder does not exist, the system automatically creates it. The folder contains:

The default settings and data for applications in AVEVA Unified Engineering.
The default path is C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Aveva\AVEVA Unified Engineering\Defaults\
Browse

The Browse to Folder window is displayed.

Browse area |
The device drives and folder structure are displayed, you can browse through. |

Make New Folder |
Creates a new folder below the selected folder.

Enable Telemetry
Defines whether to allow AVEVA to collect data or not.
If you select the Enable Telemetry checkbox, you allow AVEVA to collect data about the software and hardware configuration and the use of the application.
If you do not select the Enable Telemetry check box, AVEVA does not collect data.

I Agree
Defines the agreement to the End User License Agreement (EULA).
If you select the I Agree checkbox, you agree the EULA. After enabling I Agree, you can finish the configuration using the Finish button and you can start the application.
If you do not select the I Agree check box, you cannot finish the configuration process and cannot start the application.

Finish forces a restart of AVEVA Unified Engineering. For more information, see Start AVEVA Unified Engineering.
