Parameters
- sessionId
- Required. Holds the session ID and thus the user who is making this method call.
- processId
- Required. Holds the ID of the process.
- operId
- Required. Holds the ID of the operation.
- stepNo
- Required. Holds the number of the step with which the specification is associated. The default is -1, which means the specification is not associated with a step.
- itemId
- Optional. Holds the ID of the item.
- itemClassId
- Optional. Holds the ID of the item class.
- verId
- Required. Holds the specification version.
- specId
- Required. Holds the specification ID.
- specValue
- Required. Holds the specification value.
- assocFile
- Optional. Holds the path and file name of the file associated with this specification.
- assocFileType
- Optional. Holds the file type of the file associated with this specification.
- comments
- Optional. Holds the comments or instructions to the operator regarding the specification.
- minValue
- Optional. Holds the minimum acceptable value for the specification. The default is null, which means no minimum value is defined.
- maxValue
- Optional. Holds the maximum acceptable value for the specification. The default is null, which means no maximum value is defined.
- accessLevel
- Optional. Holds the security access level required to modify the specification. The default is null, which means no extra security is defined (null has same meaning as value = 0).
- lastEditComment
- Optional. Holds comments that describe why this record is being added.
- lastEditAt
- Output. Holds the returned date/time when this record was added. The lastEditAt parameter is used by other methods that modify or delete this type of record for optimistic concurrency control.
- rowId
- Output. Holds the unique ID assigned to this record when it is added. The rowId parameter is used by other methods that modify or delete this type of record.
Observe the following input parameter rules:
- Required non-DB* parameters: Must pass a value. Cannot be empty or null.
- Optional non-DB* parameters: Either enter a value or pass a null. If passing a null and a default value has been defined, the default value will be used for the parameter.
- Required DB* parameters: Must pass a value. To enter an empty value for the parameter, pass DB*.null (e.g., DBInt.null).
- Optional DB* parameters: To enter no value for the parameter, pass DB*.null (e.g., DBInt.null). To use the default value for the parameter if one has been defined for the object being added, pass a null.
