The UpdateSpecific() method updates selected columns for the specified data log value record in the Data_Log_Value table.
This overload of the method includes the lastEditComment input parameter.

Parameters
- sessionId
- Required. Holds the session ID and thus the user who is making this method call.
- grpId
- Required. Holds the ID of the data log group of the record to be updated.
- valueIndex
- Required. Holds the value index of the record to be updated.
- valueName
- Optional. Holds the column heading for the value.
- valueType
- Optional. Holds the enumeration for the value type. The default is 0.
- editable
- Optional. Holds the flag that, if set to true, specifies that the user can manually enter or modify the value. The default value is true.
- curValue
- Optional. Holds the current value for this value.
- specId
- Optional. Holds the spec ID from which the data log’s runtime value is sourced for the current running job.
- meaning
- This parameter is not used by the system.
- meaningToValueIndex
- This parameter is not used by the system.
- spare1
- Optional. Holds the contents of the user-defined spare1 field.
- spare2
- Optional. Holds the contents of the user-defined spare2 field.
- spare3
- Optional. Holds the contents of the user-defined spare3 field.

- lastEditComment
- Optional. Holds the comment that describes why this record is being updated.
- modId
Required. Holds the modification ID for the record to be updated, for optimistic concurrency control. The passed value must match the modification ID in the record for the update to succeed.
Output. Holds the returned modification ID to identify the update instance of the record.
Observe the following input parameter rules:
- Optional non-DB* parameters: Either enter a new value or leave the existing value unchanged by passing a null.
- Optional DB* parameters: To clear the existing value and enter an empty value, pass DB*.null (e.g., DBInt.null). To leave the existing value unchanged, pass a null.
