Software requirements

Before installing the Work Tasks Extension and Connector for MES, ensure the following prerequisite software is installed:

• Work Tasks 2023 R2

• MES 2023 R2

For detailed requirements related to the prerequisite software, refer to the software requirements section of each product.

Important: In distributed deployments, the Work Tasks Enterprise Console Authentication Provider page may not display the Active Directory and MES User provider links after you configure the Work Tasks Extension for MES. This issue occurs because a required diagnostics assembly (Skelta.Connector.Diagnostics.dll) is not installed on nodes that run only the Work Tasks Extension. Without the assembly, the authentication components cannot load correctly. To address this issue, install Work Tasks 2023 R2 HF4 on the node that hosts the Work Tasks Extension. Work Tasks 2023 R2 HF4 (AWT2023R2-HF4) is included on the Work Tasks Extension and Connector for MES installation media. Work Tasks Connector for MES version 7.1 is supported on the following operating systems:

• Windows 11 Professional and Enterprise

• Windows Server 2019 Standard and Datacenter (64-bit)

• Windows Server 2022 Standard and Datacenter (64-bit)

• Windows Server 2025 Standard and Datacenter (64-bit)

Database requirements

Work Tasks Connector for MES version 7.1 is supported with the following database servers:

• SQL Server 2017 Standard, Enterprise (64-bit)

• SQL Server 2019 Standard, Enterprise (64-bit)

• SQL Server 2022 Standard, Enterprise (64-bit)

• SQL Server 2025 Standard, Enterprise (64-bit)
